The Best Tongue Cleaner, Ever.
The Original Tongue BrushWe invented the tongue brush in 1996. Today the TUNG Brush and TUNG Gel together form the world’s most effective tongue cleaner. Once you start, we dare you to stop!
Over 15 years ago, Dr. Wieder and his partner, entrepreneur Tom Oechslin, set out to make the best tongue cleaner on the market. During his years of dental practice, Dr. Wieder was deeply devoted to his patient’s oral health. He was keenly aware of the social impact bad breath had on his patients. The two men realized there was nothing out there to clean the back of the tongue effectively and with minimal gagging. Wieder knew early on that 90% of bad breath causes are from bacteria on the tongue’s unique, irregular surface. However, after production of TUNG began, it became universally known in the dental profession that the issue of bad breath and cleaning your tongue was much bigger; the tongue was now directly responsible for gum disease which was proven to have significant adverse health affects such as cancer, early births and heart disease.
Dr. Wieder knew that the only tools available to consumers were ineffective and uncomfortable to use (toothbrushes and tongue scrapers), therefore patients didn’t use them, which was a huge problem. The frustration by patients for a lack of a solution moved Wieder to create a tool that would not only be effective, but consumers would actually enjoy using. Wieder and Oechslin teamed up to solve this problem and the first Original TUNG Brush and TUNG Gel were born. The first of their kind, these unique tools were designed to effectively, efficiently and comfortably clean the tongue while minimizing gagging; tools the customer would enjoy using while being confident their breath was fresh.
The two decided to name the company Peak Enterprises, Inc. for a reason. They knew that entering the US and international oral care market and competing with the giants would take determination and perseverance and thus, be a “climb”. They also knew that when they reached the top, they would be making a significant impact on the quality of life of millions of people. A significant characteristic of Peak is our insistence to manufacture TUNG products in the U.S.; because we believe in America. Sure, it’s more difficult to compete on price with others manufacturing in China as profits are sacrificed, but the edge goes to Peak in quality and service.
The fact is, we know the names and the faces of the folks in Tennessee, Wisconsin, Ohio, New York, Chicago, Florida and Toronto who manufacture TUNG products-this matters to us. At the end of the day, we’re proud to know that we’ve contributed to putting food on their table while growing our overall economy. We are not the biggest consumer products company, just a very committed one; committed to excellence because we believe the issue of bad breath warrants it and the customer deserves it. Peak knows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, when TUNG ends up in a customer’s hands, it will significantly improve their life, socially and physically. We don’t think bad breath is funny, and that’s why TUNG was born…Because It Matters.
TUNG Brush and Gel is also available internationally at UK, South Korea, Hong Kong, Kuwait, India and other countries including the PHILIPPINES.

It’s addictive. That’s what the vast majority of our customers tell us about our products. Take our challenge: use it for 10 days every day and tell us honestly if that is not true!
The TUNG Brush™
over the irregular surface of the tongue penetrating the crevices and removing bacteria. The low profile and large head design allows for quick and efficient cleansing on the back portion of the tongue without gagging.
It’s Quick and Easy!
Begin by running your TUNG Brush under warm water. After placing a bean-sized amount of TUNG Gel on the bristles, extend your tongue and lightly brush the tongue from the back toward the front for approximately 10 seconds.
Tip: After you brush and spit, extend your tongue again, take a deep breath and brush the back portion of the tongue quickly and spit again.
It is entirely up to you to determine how much pressure should be placed on the tongue. Go very light at first until your tongue gets used to it. Finally, watch what you spit out…it will be discolored. You won’t believe what you were packing around on your tongue.
For Best Results:
Brush your tongue when you brush your teeth
Replace your brush every three months when you replace your toothbrush
Why Not Just Use Your Toothbrush?
Toothbrushes are designed specifically for the teeth and gums and areineffective for removing bacteria from the tongue.
The long, soft bristles of a toothbrush over-flex and lie flat as they move across the tongue surface, rendering the effort ineffective as the plaque is pushed around rather than removed.
In addition, the narrow, high profile design quickly triggers the gag reflex as it approaches the back of the tongue. The TUNG Brush allows you to comfortably and effectively reach the back of the tongue where the majority of the odor-causing bacteria are located.
To top it off, it is a bad practice to brush your teeth with the same brush that was exposed to the high levels of bacteria on your tongue, because it has the potential to introduce those bacteria to your gums and bloodstream!
TUNG Gel™
Ahhhh TUNG Gel! This completes the TUNG System.
TUNG Gel is a fresh, minty cleansing formula designed to help loosen and remove bacteria from the tongue crevices.
Our Zinc compound helps to neutralize the sulphur gas (what we smell as bad breath) emitted by the bacteria.
Why Not Just Use Your Toothpaste?
Standard toothpastes often contain fluoride, teeth-whitening and tartar control chemicals that may cause tongue irritation. In addition, toothpaste is “sticky” and will gunk up your brush.
When that happens, it provides an environment that is perfect for the growth of bacteria when you’re not using your brush.
Don't go there.
The highly water soluble TUNG Gel rinses clean, leaving no residue buildup on the brush or on your tongue. When finished, it leaves your tongue feeling tingly and your breath fresh.
